Barisan Nasional’s (BN) landslide victory in the 16th Johor state election reflects the people’s clear mandate for a stable and capable state government committed to continuing Johor’s development agenda, BN secretary-general Zambry Abdul Kadir said.

Zambry said the coalition’s more than two-thirds majority victory demonstrated voters’ confidence in BN’s leadership and its ability to deliver effective governance for the state.

He described the result as a strong endorsement of political stability, adding that BN would remain focused on fulfilling its promises and advancing development initiatives for the benefit of Johor residents.

BN secured 48 of the 56 seats contested in Saturday’s election, comfortably retaining control of the Johor state government, while Pakatan Harapan won the remaining eight seats. The opposition Perikatan Nasional failed to win any seat.

Zambry also expressed appreciation to voters for their confidence in the coalition and thanked party workers and supporters for their commitment throughout the campaign.

He said the victory would strengthen BN’s resolve to continue serving the people and ensure Johor’s progress through stable and effective governance.
