Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has said any Israeli nationals found in Malaysia will be deported immediately, reaffirming the country’s longstanding policy of not recognising Israel.

Anwar said Malaysian authorities would not allow Israeli citizens to remain in the country and would take swift action if any were detected.

He stressed that Malaysia’s position on Israel remains unchanged and is rooted in its support for the Palestinian cause and its refusal to establish diplomatic ties with Israel.

Malaysia does not maintain diplomatic relations with Israel, and Israeli passport holders are generally barred from entering the country without special permission from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Anwar’s remarks come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East and Malaysia’s continued vocal support for Palestine, with the government repeatedly condemning Israeli military actions in Gaza and calling for international accountability.
