Malaysia’s Immigration Department (JIM) has appointed Norkhafizin Isa as the new Director of its Integrity Division, effective July 15, as part of a leadership transition aimed at strengthening integrity and good governance within the department.

The appointment was announced during a Handing Over Notes Ceremony held in Putrajaya on July 13, marking the end of Hishammudin Mohammed Esa’s tenure as Director of the Integrity Division.

Hishammudin will assume his new role as Director of the Security Division at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

The ceremony was witnessed by Immigration Director-General Zakaria Shaaban, Deputy Director-General (Management) Dr Rosbi Abd Rahman, Deputy Director-General (Operations) Lokman Effendi Ramli, as well as division directors and state immigration directors.

In a statement, the department thanked Hishammudin for his dedication, commitment and leadership in strengthening integrity within the Immigration Department, and wished him success in his new position at the MACC.

The department also welcomed Norkhafizin Isa, expressing confidence that he would continue to uphold integrity, reinforce good governance and further improve service excellence.

JIM said the leadership transition reflects its continued commitment to promoting integrity, accountability and effective governance in delivering quality public services.
