Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan arrived here Monday night to lead Malaysia’s delegation at the 9th Malaysia-Philippines Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) scheduled for Tuesday.

Mohamad arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport at about 9:40 pm ahead of the ministerial-level meeting, which is scheduled to take place at the Philippines’ Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Tuesday morning.

He was received upon arrival by Malaysian Ambassador to the Philippines Datuk Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino.

Deputy Secretary-General (Bilateral Relations) at Malaysia’s Foreign Ministry Syed Mohamad Hasrin Tengku Hussin and other officials also welcomed him at the hotel.

The JCM is expected to provide a platform for Malaysia and the Philippines to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and discuss matters of mutual interest.
