A passenger car was completely destroyed after catching fire along Jalan 7/116B, off Jalan Kuchai Lama, on Saturday afternoon, according to fire officials.

No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.

The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) received an emergency distress call at 4:18 p.m. A team from the Seputeh Fire and Rescue Station (BBP Seputeh), located roughly 2 kilometres from the scene, was immediately dispatched.

Despite encountering heavy traffic en route, fire crews reached the spot by 4:28 p.m., where they found the vehicle, a Perodua Myvi (registration WPD 4037), fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters deployed two hose reel lines from a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) to bring the blaze under control and douse it completely.

The emergency response was led by PBK II Mohd Majdi bin Che Kamis and comprised 10 personnel, including a supervisor, a driver, and eight firefighters.

Fire crews completed overhaul operations to ensure the area was safe before returning to the station. The official cause of the fire remains under investigation.
