Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim shared warm moments with Malaysians after the National Day parade here on Monday, stopping several times to greet, interact with and exchange pleasantries with members of the public.
Anwar turned his post-parade walkabout into an informal engagement with the crowd, responding to greetings and interacting with Malaysians who gathered to celebrate the country’s 69th National Day.
The interactions came after the National Day celebrations in Putrajaya, which drew more than 100,000 people, according to local reports.
The prime minister’s walkabout provided an opportunity for him to connect directly with people attending the celebrations, with the festive atmosphere continuing after the parade.
The National Day celebrations featured a large-scale parade and performances involving various government agencies, security forces and community groups, highlighting Malaysia’s unity, diversity and patriotic spirit.
Anwar’s post-parade interactions also reflected the close public engagement that has marked his appearances at major national events.
