Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Monday night conveyed his prayers and warm wishes for the speedy and full recovery of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

“I pray that the Honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, makes a speedy and full recovery. May Allah bless him with lasting health and strength,” Tarique said in a post on social media.

“The people of Bangladesh join me in conveying our warmest wishes to our nation’s valued friend,” he added.

The message came as Anwar, a close friend of Bangladesh, is recovering from a health condition.

Tarique expressed hope that the Malaysian prime minister would regain his health and strength soon.
