Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim personally called a small and medium enterprise entrepreneur after she became emotional over missing the opportunity to meet him during the SParK Forum Niaga Bazar 2026.
In a social media post on Monday, Anwar said he had spoken by phone with Artini Johari, an entrepreneur from Selangor, who attended the business event organized by the Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad last Saturday.
According to Anwar, Artini was moved to tears after being unable to meet him during the event.
“Alhamdulillah, I was able to get in touch with Ms. Artini Johari. She was disappointed because she could not meet me. God willing, if it is meant to be, we will meet on another occasion,” the prime minister wrote.
Anwar also wished Artini good health, success in her work, and continued growth for her business.
The SParK Forum Niaga Bazar 2026, organized by PUNB, brought together entrepreneurs, business leaders and government representatives from across Malaysia. The event aimed to promote entrepreneurship, expand business networks and accelerate the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises.
