Malaysia’s Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) is making steady progress in strengthening the country’s border management system and enhancing law enforcement at entry points, the government has said.

In its first year of operation, the agency has demonstrated its ability to play a key role in ensuring more integrated and efficient enforcement activities.

The agency has also been recognised as an effective initiative for improving coordination among various authorities responsible for border security.

The Malaysian government said efforts to further enhance the agency’s operations and implementation process will continue to ensure that its founding objectives are fully achieved.

According to the government, these initiatives will contribute significantly to strengthening national security, safeguarding public welfare and protecting the country’s sovereignty.
